I didn't know about pw6 auto updating the repos.

How do I play a modset without updating (Im new to pw6)?

The Crap that I have to deal with in OP Ursus  when I fly AH-6 or CAS- Wildcat

A fire team with 3* MANPADS is b*llocks. After been shot down after almost every CAS I RQ'd and switched to recce and found that this is possible.

I think there is a mixup of terminology here.

The repo is Simply list of mods - we maintain what goes on the list.

Each mod WITHIN the Repo is then updated by PW6 - as and when the author pushes a change.

We cannot at the moment influence that. So if a change is made right before a mission (like tonight) it can be a rush for us to get it installed and tested in time.

We have now begun to implement Task Force Radio "Serious" mode.

The game channel "Radio Comms [A]", can no longer be joined by clicking on it.

1. Join TS, go in any channel e.g. Arma 3 Public Server > Waiting Area
2. Join the public server, select a slot
3. When you get in game, you will automatically be moved to the Radio Comms [A] channel
4. When you leave the game you will be returned to the TS channel you were in previously

If you leave the TS comms channel while still in game for a short while, you can auto-return by disabling and re-enabling your TS TFAR plug-in.

NCO's and above currently have permissions to enter the Radio Comms [A] channel without needing the password, but they will not be able to be heard (with or without the plugin on). So it will be possible to monitor all comms, but not speak (on the To Do list).

So far just Operation Ursus on Reshmaan is updated - other missions to follow.

- changed playable units to RM version of new @3cb_baf_units
- added TFAR serious mode
- cleared ground vehicles of any default equipment
- overhauled vehicle load-out script matched to current mod set and reduced load times
- created new sling-loadable ammo crates with appropriate gear, 3 on airfield, 4 at supply depot

not sure if this has been brought up already, but the ACE attach item options seem to have disappeared. Seem to work for vehicles but i can no longer attach chemlights/IR strobes to myself

Something I noticed in the last 2-3 weeks on the public and sometimes during private missions is the tendency of some people to do some kind of backseat leading. This seems to be a issue with people you could call veteran members of the 3CB. Especially on the public server this can be a bit problematic. The Public Server is a place where members or non-members can try out certain roles and that also invovles leadership positions like a section commander. It is pretty discouraging for newer player or members if they take the role of a section commander and they end up having 1-2 guys in their section who comment every decision that person makes or simply pretty much taker over leadership. This usually doesnt happen knowingly by those persons but they should be aware that they are not the section commander right now and let the other person do his job. Especially when more experiences members with higher ranks do this, it is very hard for the actual section commanders to speak up against it.

There is no war to end all wars.
