I'll tend to make suggestions for certain things I.e. Firing positions, taking cover. Purely because I may notice something that someone else doesn't. But if those suggestions are not put into action, no biggy. I'd encourage peope to point things out like that, but certainly not take full blown control of the situation, which does happen. If you move out of position against your current orders because you feel it's best, you may in the end leave your section exposed. Especially important for Auto Rifleman and Machine Gunners.
Suggestions are completly fine if people dont end up making a suggestion for every single decision (not saying you did) a section commander is making. Especially unexperienced section commanders can feel a bit undermined if that is happening and they can also end up making no decisions because they feel that they dont have to make them anymore. This usually get's worse if you have somebody who is more experienced (or thinks he is) as a FTL etc. Unless there is something very critical that could having us end up all respawned back at base or I have a schockingly brilliant idea. I try to let the section commander (or any other role) to do their work. This also means that people are free to make some mistakes and can learn from that. Not allowing this is a bit like doing the homework for your child if he has a problem with math. Nobody can learn from that and you eventually keep people from learning and taking initiative.
