Might have no impact at all in the game, but I just wanted to know what could cause it. My 343 stopped working later on, not sure if it has got any relation to that (148 was fine, so it was probably an ACRE brain fart)

That's caused by my ShoulderTap mod - make sure you get the latest version from SIX (or redownload) as it's been fixed.

Ok release 6 is out for Takistan.

Changes

  • Ah64 Apache (nod's complicated pushy button one)
  • A10C Thunderbolt (Peral's equally clicky complicated one)
  • Map markers that work
  • Tweaked AI values again. Slightly less spawns radius to help keep server frames up.

Lots of other small tweaks to various features, inc IED's Enemy emplacements etc etc

Apparently there's a Zargabad map too... apparently (joke!)

Release 7 is out for Takistan ALiVE insurgency

  • Added Street lights so you can see at night.
  • Added Jamie's gates + Gate Guard from Zargabad
  • Added Jamie's Support Scripts (Drive or land onto a support point. Manually select using mouse wheel to repair vehicle or empty inventory and re-fill will meds ammo etc)
  • Added more auto Heli points to help with Ai pilots if being used.
  • Tweaked the weather script
  • Added more Enemy AA (it was too easy to fly around before! Pilots you need to plan your routes carefully)
  • Added some more Opfor vehicles. 
  • Added more Mortar ammo as it ran out very quick.
  • Added one more mortar tube available to call in.
  • Updated IED script to allow "ringing ears" on explosions.
  • Added two more Hunters as they were running low
  • Added base cleanup script and world cleanup script (Jamie's again :) )


Tried adding UAV's but they don't seem to work, even for UAV specific troops ?

Known bugs: Spawn point anti shooting thing is not working for some reason... ?

Bit of a milestone in many ways as there have been 0 Major changes. That's significant because it indicates a stable viable platform is being reached.

Changes as follows

  • Added a couple of choppers - who doesn't like death from the sky.
  • Added additional Landing pads for choppers at the base.
  • Revised server to latest version of ALiVE - make sure you're up to date
  • Now running the latest version of ASR_AI3 - to be fair we've been running it for a while, but it's not been official
  • Briefing is complete and works now. Click the 3CB INSURGENCY BRIEF tab
  • Switched the Blufor Opcom back on - so they will re-issue "go get em" orders. Not really significant but will do until Jamie releases his AMAZING RANDOM OBJECTIVES SCRIPT... hint hint

Known bugs

  • AH64 is the version off of ARMAHOLIC with the A3 controls fix. Not PW6 so if there are any issues it's 100% a mod miss match.
  • A10 is still reliant on the ALiVE key to function. this works for some (brave enough to try and start it) not for others - I've left it in 'cos certain people know how to use it. As soon as there is an "easy" option released I will side-grade.
  • Morning Reveille and evening Sunset RM Bugle call still doesn't work properly - but at least it doesn't blast you every time you log on.

btw the server is now ranked 179 in all the world which puts it in the top 20% - not bad considering it's only a relatively small group of 3CB members that play there - the rest are pubbies

Several small fixes through 7.3 - 7.9 nothing worth mentioning

For R8 changes as follows

  • New Enemy strongholds added - find them, Defeat them, Defend them
  • Addional Villages added filling in some of the open space on the map - let me know what you think - they're tricky to place so any good template you have, let me know.
  • Helicopters tweaked back to vanilla units for transport and @UK_SFSG for pilot-able ones.
  • bCombat v0.16 (offical RC) implimented - let me know what you think.
Oh and a little thing.... we're now the No.1 ranked ALiVE server on Gametrack.... not bad ;-)

Not running ASR_Ai3 anymore as it's conflicting some of the Ai Routines of bCombat

AI seems to be working fine - only slight OP difference that we noticed was that their 40mm were pretty much dead on - otherwise all good.

XMED sys now fixed and updated to 0.3.2 (ringing ears disabled for the moment)

Lifter module added, you'll need the mod to be able to airlift vehicles etc.

I am liking the new Syria / Qom province map on the the public server. Interesting night spent in a convoy down the main highway, taking part in Chinook insertions and BTR driving. The Syrian / Hezbollah enemies are pretty lethal as well. Good stuff. Excellent work Serjames.
