Not sure why the other server keeps getting taken down. Doesn't seem to interfere in anyway... ?
I can run it up now - unless someone has a reason not to ?

Before we move onto "new" Maps - my suggestion is to get Lingor right... Still being tweaked remember folks - And then look at the next one.

I'd be interested in another dynamic persistent map too - during cupcake's guerilla training last week he used a mission to create a Dynamic town actually on the Takistan map. I've not seen that done before but it turned a patch of boring dessert into an EXCELLENT CQB zone.

Perhaps we can tailor one of the maps in the same way ? is this done with a "template" ? or is there a clever script that does this. Either way, with all the desert zones on Takistan this might make a really fresh change ?

Alternatively there are LOADS of good maps out there - I personally think Icebreaker's, Lingor, dingor, Isla Duala etc are superb - very well developed with masses to explore and exploit. But I'd be very happy to try some more.

I really wanted to setup a server using Fallujah - to try and replicate the whole "Sniper One" situation. Of a a group of soldiers trapped in the middle of a hostile town... etc etc...


One obvious difficulty with running more than one map at a time is population - at the moment we're not filling the Lingor map - more players please !

EDIT: Note both servers are currently up - looks like they were restarted early Wednesday morning - however population counts are very low on the takistan server 1 player max for the past week or so.

I'll be adding an automatic rotor to the server so that every 48 hours (thoughts?) the mission rotates (whether it's been completed or not). I'm thinking:

Insurgency Lingor
Insurgency Takistan
Insurgency Zargabad / Domination Chernarus (?)

I can easily work on some port maps. Insurgency is really easy to modify.

Howl if you want custom insurgency, make sure it supports the new EP1 housing system then give me some map names. We can have more custom maps in.

Think everyone isn't playing Takistan and Zargabad right now because its been over used so much. We are big enough to start introducing custom maps into the servers now.

How about Insurgency Fallujah? Fallujah requires some more CQC and close encounters urban combat stuff.


I liked Fallujah but people cry about the performance. If we had rotation tho like Jamie suggested then it wouldn't be an issue.

What about Dingor Island if its the vegetation people don't like on Lingor?
Also Esbekistan has some interesting terrain features even though its quite small, could be consider if doing a rotation
of maps and using this for a third or quarter of the "normal" time.


I'll take a look at both in a bit.

Only thing I don't like is Esbekistan has a lot of requirements compared to Dingor.

Fallujah sucks for most of the people just because of the spawn rate of enemys and the lack of FPS following on that.
Some people cant even play Takistan with more then 10 fps.
