Stuck on Loading Screen

Hello All,

Just thought this is quite an important issue. The public server is getting more and more active on the evenings as we do these public events/actions.

However, I noticed an issue as to where many people get stuck on loading screen for long periods of time, and some people can't even get in. I have no idea what is causing it :/
 
It's not just me either.It's many people who find this issue, and this can be rather deterring it terms of willingness to play the server.

Is it one particular mission ?

I've had this in both of the last two public ops, I wonder whether it's to do with loads of people trying to join the server at once? If so, what's different between it and Private/MiniOps?

I had it on a private Op too in the last month or so, as did someone else stuck with me at the time.
Waited a good 3+ minutes, then gave up, killed A3. Reconnected, went straight in.

Had this problem a few nights ago on fools gold and when I joined the public action tonight. Killed arma from task manager and restarted, was able to join straight in after that. I will say that it's only happened to me since the last CBA update(? the one that rebound addon keybinds)

I have seen or experienced this problem in the past. Not just on our public server, but also on other server. This also includes servers that are not related to 3CB at all.

If you google this issue, you will find that there are various things that can cause this. It goes from problems with mods, the arma 3 version itself, corrupted game data over to things like a lot of people trying to connect at the same time. Hence why we and other communities often do a staggered joining process with high numbers. Another possibility is also steamworks having a bit of a hickup.

It's certainly been present in the past, but the frequency does seem to have increased of late.  I agree with Price that it does appear to coincide with the CBA update.  Although there is nothing on either the BI forums or the CBA issue tracker that indicates a problem

Well I've never personally experienced being stuck on the screen before. I mean, I restarted my game multiple times and Moeses suggested I just wait on the black screen. I did wait and I went in after 15 minutes or so.

A couple of guys actually disconnected from TS or went away into the Away Channel, such as sirius, as he spent ages trying to connect, longer than me and could never get in. I have never experienced this on 3CB servers and it's happening to loads of people.

This popped up again tonight for me. Got disconnected due to internet going down. When I tried to reconnect I was stuck on a black screen with the server messages in the bottom left ("Mne. Price is connecting. Welcome to 3CB server" etc). Restarted 5 or 6 times and no joy. After half an hour or so waiting the last time I restarted, I just gave up. Has there been any revelations as to why it's happening or is it still a mystery to everyone?
