Also something off the topic of helmets, I was rewatching SJ's new uniform modding stream and noticed that the names of the two DPM patterns are incorrect and need to be switched out. The "DPM" should be CS95 DPM, and the "CS95 DPM" with the browner tint should be renamed to "DPM-68"

This is DPM-68 which was named "CS95 DPM" in SJ's modding stream

And this is CS-95 DPM or DPM-95 which was named "DPM" in the modding stream. Just a quick change of words and a slight thing I noticed!
In regards to DPM material its quite tricky as material colour could change depending on who made it and when even if it was meant to be from the same DPM type. In regards to Pattern 68 all the jackets had flat pockets and this style was used during the Falklands era replaced in 1984.
Below are two images which are both Pattern 68 but note how different they look.

In regards to your second picture the guy on the right on the SF kit looks to be wearing a windproof smock which was also a different pattern, and there were slight variations for the arctic parka, para smock and sniper smock depending on who made it and when. Bellows pockets on standard Jackets didn't come in until Pattern 1984 and before then they were all flat pockets.
In regards to the naming as Robbie and Evrik said we went for the name that fit the camo the best after looking through reference images and from people's first hand experience. I am sure that when we do tropical at some point, people may point out that its not the tropical that they used when in fact "Tropical" has been in issue since the 1970's so you can imagine how many variations of that there are.
Just to confuse things further from the early 90's people started buying and wearing aftermarket dpm jackets which some had the same style as an issue jacket, but again the dpm was slightly different.
I hope this clears up the dpm / modding minefield.
