Possibly the later.  The former is some sort of timeout issue, caused by the initialization of Zeus.

Cool, static radio's might be actually able to script a relay of some sorts?
And half duplex is it gonna be forced on or is it optional?

Well I can assure you that neither TFAR or Achilles have been updated recently.

In our testing, remote controlled units can now be heard but not hear.  It's just about workable now, as you can invis and stand close enough to the remote controlled unit to hear the player.

Is it possible that the cause of the issue was related to either the game itself (and the update to Arma 3 has resolved it) or an update to a required mod such as CBA_A3 has fixed the error?

The last mod to be updated was CBA back on the 9 Nov.  The last BIS update was 9 Dec.

Nemiuk and I experienced the issue during the last of the Patrol Ops. on the 16 Dec

Fair enough. The only other changes were the switch away from the ACE modules on the Public mission. Didn't you also change the TFAR setup after an initial issue? Was the Patrol Ops on the 16th after you had updated the Patrol Ops server with those changes?
