We'll keep running the Dev 1 Server as an @ace3 test bed, updating settings as we discover what works best (if that's ok with Goodson).
Until the day we go on that server and find everything is brilliant with no major issues, I imagine we'll stick as we are. We are in a fortunate position to have multiple servers to test with.

Oh, and the ACE team couldn't afford me.  ;-)

Mister Goodson made a good suggestion earlier on TS.

At one point we should do a large scale test of ACE3. Small and very focused tests on the dev server are important, but in the very end we gotta see if it actually works and how we should set it up. So what we should do is is a test with as much players as we can get online.

We could use a mission from the public server, which we know is running pretty well already (latest example would be Hearts & Minds) and let it run with ACE3 for 2-3 days. Or we could do a single event that could be a operation or a Zeus mission.

What do you think?

Sounds like a fun project actually..

I'm still not au fait with the medical modules etc.... We might need a micro DEV test first just to check we have things setup the way we THINK it's supposed to run.. We can then push that to the wider audience...

Great idea.... (that's why they pay him the big "Chateau" bucks !) :-)

Um, the mission currently running on Dev 1 IS a full public server mission (Copper Valley, Bystrica, @Alive) using @Ace3.

It's available in 3 medical formats which any admin can change on the fly:
- AGM (#1)
- CSE lite (#2)
- CSE heavy (#3)

It can take as many players as want to join (100+).
It has a repo (Dev 1).

It's been up for weeks and weeks with little to no interest.

Thats what I meant, just saying the Dev Server is up for testing is a good start, but you will most likely not get a lot of player on for a good ammount of time. You get the best results when people are actually not "testing" and just playing.

Nope, don't want to run it on the public, that would cause infinite amounts of confusion. Plus, it's up for 3CB members to spot bugs, experiment with the medical system and otherwise decide when it's ready for use.

Anyone can organise a "let's test ACE" evening, just put a post up somewhere. If you want an admin to add an attendance poll we can do that too.
