A suggestion for a weapon pack

The MK18's are modelled by Robert Hammer actually, hence the weird name RHHARD Mk18

However they're not Brit Kit, so it's very unlikely they would ever be officially part of the pack. Nothing to stop you grabing them and running them on the public though.... I do :)

Ok so when you have the main repo file downloaded from here.... https://www.3commandobrigade.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1765&p=13754

Simply create a new Collection in PW6.. call it' Triji's collection or whatever and copy in all the mods from the repo - now you can just add any EXTRA mods you like.

Keep the list concise to stuff you'll actually use as it can get bloated...(ahem!) but that way you can get your Lovewly MK18's in the game.

Remember if you drop them, they will disappear, and other people may not see them as they're not official (tb fair I think most people have this one)

Have fun...

Do we really need that many different AR-15 derived guns? Not just this new mod, even the ones we already have.
Virtually all the features that separate the 100's of different versions of these rifles (materials, weight, ease of operation, reliability, ergonomics, etc) aren't even properly modelled in the game!

I think we could do with these 4 AR-15 derived assault rifles:
1.) M16 [A1/2/3]  - for retro-style missions
2.) M16A4   - the modern version, with rails. For those that just prefer the longer barrel, or for the USMC fans
3.) M4A1              - The standard/default. Yes, technically standard infantry still use the M4 (which has 3-round burst instead of full-auto), but that's quickly changing and too minor to really matter in ArmA3 gameplay
4.) M4A1 + CQB - The even-shorter-barrel version, for all our CQB needs [and as a PDW ] (since ArmA3 doesn't have guns colliding on walls, this isn't necessary, but it rounds out the list of offerings quite nicely)

Add a version with a GL, and that's 8 "items" (in the VAS sense) that can (if they properly support attachments) take care of 99.9999% of our American-assault-rifle needs.
Instead of having lots of different versions from various mods, with varying levels of quality in various areas, I think we should try to find THE best version of each of the four rifles above and add those and only those to the official modpack public mod collection.

PS: I think the same might be done for LMGs/MMGs and Sniper/Marksman rifles, however I'm not familiar enough with them to see which might be redundant.
EDIT: Updated for clarification "modpack" was the wrong word, since I'm not talking about @3CB, but instead about the "official"
mod collection for the public server

Remember Alexander this is for Public use, not as a 3CB mod... SJ

I actually think this is *more* important for the public server. For the private, we just get whatever gear the mission maker gives us, and it's up to him and the testers to make sure the loadouts work.
But on the public server, people take whatever they'll find in VAS [or LEA].  This wouldn't be a problem if it didn't create a scenario where there's 6 different suppressors/acogs/holosights/etc for the M4A1 and it's variants, with compatibility following no obvious logical system.
Apart from these purely "technical" details, there's also the issue of quality: Some guns match and even surpass the texture, sound and animation quality of the standard rifles,
while some lack even the most basic of animations and sound like they were recorded in a tin can.
So, until there's some "unification" in terms of attachments and sounds, it might just be easier to identify a few guns that work well together and stick to those.

The only real issue with using new weapon packs is other folks not being able to hear/see when you fire them. Something to be mindful of if someone kindly asks you to switch over :).  With that said though; it  is a beautifully and well made set.
