It doesn't really matter. We don't have a L119a2 model anyway. Without a 3d model, we can't do much.

What about asking Colt Canada for one? I'll ping them an email if you want.

What format does it have to be in?

I'd be careful about that, putting "real " guns into games is technically a whole bunch of trademark/IP infringement. Some companies don't care but it's probably best not to wake the dragon ;)

As I understand it, you need model makers. Been looking into blender and started model making. I'm still a long long way of being comfortable with the UI.

If you can give me a couple of things to model I'll crack on. Simple things to start with and I'll work up. (scopes, bino's etc..)

Have a TS chat with lifetap, he'll get you started with something and give you some pointers.

In regards to the L115 we are using the following data:

Barrel length : 27"
Twist            : 1 in 11

http://www.eurooptic.com/pdf/aw_brochure.pdf

For Bullet info we use the following:

Bullet weight     : 16.2g ( lapua lockbase B408)
Muzzle velocity : 936m/s (Non-C.I.P. conforming British military issue)

http://www.lapua.com/en/tactical-ammuni ... ridge.html

Edit: This is the data for the L115A3 which is due in the next update of the weapon pack, for the current L115A1 in the weapon pack at the moment i will check when i get home from work.

If you use that link and go down to the Lapua tactical ammunition you will find the coefficient's listed there. Won't be back from work for a few hours so can't check the data we have in the mod.

Edit: We also use this as a reference for weapons and ammo.

The UGL-variant L85s have always been blocked from using muzzle items except the flash hider if memory serves, and if I'm correct this matches with reality due to suppressors etc blocking the fired grenades.

Yes it is.. They were struggling with accuracy on the L129-A1 as the scopes they used were designed for the GPMG or BMG 50 if I read correctly. i.e. the reticule wasn't actually specced for the barrel length and ballistic properties of the chamberered round. So whilst better than the L85 it was struggling a little at its designed range of 800.

They did a big shoot off between the L129-A1 and the L86 - modified with modern furniture and found the L86 just as accurate if not more so over range. (longer, heavier barrel and Better MV.

Actually it kept the L86-A2 tag I think as opposed to A3 (which we guessed). Now it's still basically a prototype, as it's a specialist weapon. And I've not heard more about it... But it's nice to keep in in the pack as it does offer different game play dynamics to the regular L86 and L129-A1 - I also think it looks pukka.

I guess in the pack it should be re-named L86-A2 RIS

It would be nice to get our "sharp-shooter" role in the most up-to date loadouts, using this instead of the L86 with plastic - as that's old hat now

JD I think you may have miss-read - I'm not convinced they chose one over the other. L-129 didn't shoot as well in the test as the 5.56 L86.

I'm still seeing L129's around so they haven't binned them, but it's possible they won't buy more. Whereas they have 1000's of L86's lying around as the Minimi is preferred as the Section LSW now.

Likely you will see modified (modernised) L86's for some time. It's a bit crystal ball for us, as we tend to bounce a little around on what kit we equip our guys with (we don't have the latest Virtus kit yet for example) but fun to include it as a genuine possibility.
