The thing with Altis Life servers that got taken down was a bit different. If I remember it correctly, some guys stole pretty much the medical system of CSE and also things from other mods. The reason BI took those servers down was not exactly because they "just stole some mods" but the fact that they made money with their Altis Life Server. BI probabl would not have taken down the server if they had no such thing as a premium system for users (aka earning money with it). They would most likely have criticised such a behavior but would have left other in the hands of the actual creators of the mod.

I suspect he will remove comments anyway since he removed the comment from ohaley.

If steam won't take action - the wider Arma community will most likely shun the mod and author (BI forums, armaholic, pw6, etc).

Also I'd be careful with spamming his page repeatedly, as you may risk a ban yourself (as ironic as that is).

If somebody is driving over a red light, I should still not throws bricks at his car.

Commenting will make no sense, since he will simply delete the comments he doesnt like and he is sitting behind the better button. You can post and he can delete everything you write and there is nothing you can do about it. You just waste your time and potentionally look like a obsessed idiot to strangers.

I doubt he is really aware that he made a mistake and so commenting every five seconds will get nothing done. I added him on steam and wrote him and told him what the issue with his behavior is. He has not responded so far and he will probably not do it but thats all you can do. I also posted the issue in a german ArmA Community Page and so we can expect that at the end of the day probably +100 people will have reported/downvoted the mod and I expect it to be down from the steam workship in 1-2 days. Either he will take it down or steam will.

OHally just needs to issue a DCMA takedown, these are usually taken care of by steam within 24h. But since you need to be the original copyright owner to do this there's nothing we can do.

The response of the guy was short and shows how much sense talking to this guy makes (none):

Dude, are you all not having any hobbies or have to go to school or something? Care about our own
stuff, Bugger me! Everyone get a live!

That is the english version of it. I kinda tried to also translate his bad grammar but keep all his spelling mistakes out.

No big suprise, but I am also on his ignore list now. :)

Take it he's a younger fella judging by the school remark. Likely it's purely down to ignorance from his end. Hopefully a few direct notifications from steam etc, will scare and slap some sense into him.

As it was written here, the guy took the mod down and has not done anything like that since. Legal actions would have been complicated since the guy was from another country (germany). If I would have taken some legal actions here, the only thing it could have done would have been the guy being forced to take it down.
