bad benson's Enhanced movement mod

I've been working with bad benson for about a month on a new release of his enhanced movement mod.

https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/17478 ... ?p=2928895

Checking it's compatible with our modset and that it works even with ACE etc.

It does... and I think it's pretty cool. Check it out Rpts are clean and I'd really like to add this to our modset

Tried out Enhanced movement and it worked 100% of the time to a realistic standard.
Realistic standard? The video shows climbing smooth walls that stand higher than your head.
That's a pretty amazing feat to pull off, especially with e.g. a GPMG, plate carrier, backpack, etc. Without at least some balancing system this would allow for super-human climbing!

Yes there is a feature where you can balance it for weight... from a gameplay vs 100% reality POV - I found it fun to use and not OP at all. Try it and see.

The ACE equivalent is... basically useless which is why I agreed to work on this.

The other benefit it brings which is not a "feature" but as a result of the mechnic is that it prevents those "oops I fell down two steps now my legs are broken for ever" moments...

Highly recommended

This would be brilliant for TvT's. Add a whole other dynamic :D

It's not just TvTs..... no more. "Oh a wall we can't climb over... have to run around the compound, hang on..." Totally bums the immersion for me

Completely the opposite feel to me. Turns Arma into Tomb Raider, so I hope we don't use it. Sorry not to agree with you SJ.

Have you tried it Apollo ? What is tombraider about being able to scale a wall or bump up onto a flat roof ?

Can't see how this would ruin anyone's gameplay - quite the opposite ? It brings a totally more dynamic experience as you're not penned in by unrealistic Arma Obstacles everywhere.... Like I said this doesn't allow you to be superman and jump buildings... it simply brings back the missing "up" dimension

You can always just not climb stuff... we'll wait for you as you run around the inside of the compound.....

Try wearing 30kg of bulky kit and tell me how long it takes you to climb a head high wall without assistance. Seriously, try it.

The mod is configurable for weight... as I said.

Look if you don't want it Apollo - don't use it....

don't know why I bother sometimes

I really like aspects of the movement, but agree that the more extreme bits are over the top for our purposes - when you say that it's configurable for weight, does that impact the range of available actions, or the speed of the actions?
