I just generally find on the public they don't care about suppressing fire. And accuracy has been really punishing for the last few months IMO.

Public server settings could do with some loving. I was waiting till after the 15Meu op as that will be using ASR_ai. Wanted to see how it has changed over time and get feedback from you guys

I'd suggest everyone play again on the public server to get a baseline before suggesting it needs changes. It was updated yesterday with new settings.

We now have easier fine grain control of skill levels and many of the features that were in mods are now in the vanilla game - such as suppression, taking cover, flanking and use of smokes, grenades and 40mm. Let's tweak vanilla before deciding it isn't good enough.

IIRC, Endurance has always been part of the Arma skill array but simply not plumbed in to anything. You could set it to any value you liked, but it had no effect on anything whatsoever. As to min/max, all units are randomly given skills within the specified range, with higher ranking units tending towards the better end of the range.

It's a little harsh to criticize the AI's reaction to suppressing fire, when we don't suffer from any negatives and rarely seem to respond to it either. I see people standing out in the open or scanning with binocs as rounds are landing all around them. The AI does react better when they are offloaded to a HC to run their decision making. I've seen the vanilla AI moving up, taking cover on walls and corners, deploying smoke, before then returning fire.

To be fair the only reason I don't respond to incoming fire is because i've been shot in the face......

Ok yeah they are definitely reacting better now. And the accuracy is nicer too :)

Side note. Clearing towns with 7.62 is a lot easier than with 5.56
