Well I could explain that there is a difference between getting information in a single video, or you have to pick it up from specific posts that spread across several pages, but I guess I wont.

Quick list off the top of my head from a year+ ago when I last used it properly:

-Native BLUFOR tracking of ALL units carrying a cTAB item or mounted in a vehicle, displayed only on the cTAB devices and not cluttering up the main map.
-Able to place SALUTE markers. Basically, navigate a coupla list options and it automatically places timestamped markers showing hostile position, movement, size, type etc etc.
-Ability to watch feeds from helmet cams that individuals in the field have equipped - can be handy for command, but mainly just a glitzy feature imho.
-View UAV footage from the tablet, lets the commanders just peek at what the UAV sees without having to fuss about taking control of it.
-Slightly more advanced map tools, stuff like ranging and waypoints.
-Higher contrast map, good for many people but worse for some forms of colourblindness (like I have)
-Can "text" individuals using the tablet, keeps sidechat clear if you just want to poke your Charlie to ask if a Whisky is available for reinforcement drop.

I'm personally of two minds about it. It's a nicely put together system, but I don't really see much benefit of it over proper use of the map etc. If people could just learn to place spotting reports properly... :P

Just been using it on the 15th MEU recce training.

It's a sweet system and can bring a lot of benefits.

Did you know you can put helmet cams on and see live feeds on the tab!!!

Well how about, since the people who regularly take command roles are really interested, we give it a go, instead of poo-pooing it before we have even tried it Bluemaxx?

Personally, the idea of being able to stick a helmet cam on SLs and keep and eye on them gives me a control-freak boner :D
(plus i can stay even further away from the bullets and still see what the terrain looks like)

Or we let everyone say what they think instead of making it seem like other people's opinions matter more than others?

This isn't a post-testing discussion. I'm just saying lets test it first.

The reason why I'd like to try it, is not because of the fancy features, but because it removes blufor markers from the main map.  They're only visible on the tablets/android devices.

This has always been an immersion breaker for me (on private ops).  Not sure if the target is friendly or enemy, just look on the map .... seems too gamey.
