CUP Challenger

Since we don't use CUP, probably not. But, if we ever contacted the guy for the model, it could be retextured (though I hear the mod team has enough on it's plate as it is)

Plus the size of that mod pack just for a chally that we would use once then forget about.  No thank you.

That model is not really arma 3 quality. I am exploring other avenues at the moment. I secured models from the team at Project Reality 2, but again, the quality is fairly low so will need quite a bit of work. I do have two other sources to explore first though.

As is already stated though, we have quite a bit of ongoing work and not enough people.

It's not the best model IMO. As Evrik says.

I like it. I mean it's another Challenger 2 mod, so that in itself is pretty great. Don't think we should use it. Poor textures, not the correct operational combat kit and it's CUP. The latter in itself is a reason not to use it ever lol

Edit: Does any other major ArmA 3 unit use CUP? I know ST does, but I'd assume everyone else uses RHS or our mods?

CUP is very widely used - and as an OpFor pack has great features. For first person use it's not so good - but only because it's more quantity vs quality. It does concern me slightly that they seem to be diverting from their original mission which was to port across all original kit. With chally, bulldog, mastiff etc they have diverged and I think this is a mistake as it means compromising their goal. I'm personally frustrated that they have Brit kit we do not. But I know our approach means better quality in the long run.

The problem is with the underlying model, its very A2.  Hence why we're looking for a better version

Oh wow the bulldog would be a really nice addition. Mastiff not so much, since we're already packing a Ridgback. And, last I heard, the mod team will start working on the Ridgback after the RWMIK and Snatch's. I'm sure Burnes' wouldn't mind if we added his Panther and Husky to our repo's either.

Land Rover variants are the next vehicle to be released. That will allow us to remove the Land Rover pack we use - one less mod needed. After that, I believe we are going to overhaul Cleggy's Ridgback quite significantly and include the Wolfhound and Mastiff at the same time (as we have the models). Again, one less extra mod needed.

We also have a MAN troop transport truck (not a vanilla truck reskin) that we'd like to do as no one else has done it and we lack a truck. We do have a Bulldog model (again from Cleggy), so that will probably get some attention when we get off the wheeled vehicles and move onto the tracked (we also have a Warrior to do).

On the subject of the Challenger, the model I have / the two I hope to have, are better models than the one recently released in the CUP update. There is only room for one slightly lower quality model in our pack (unless I can find a better one between now and then) and that is the Scimitar. Right, Lifetap?
