TFAR new dev

TFAR actually got a new guy in their team and they will start work in version 1.0. They are also now asking for feature requests. Looks like a good opportunity to collect some feedback and requests and forward it to the devs.

We moved across from the hack of ACRE for Arma 2 to TFAR because at the time it was more stable and being constantly updated.  When ACRE2 was released I think it was felt that going through another large change to the radio system for something that didn't have a large gain wasn't needed.  Additionally I think alot of other communities also use TFAR as it was the first to come out for Arma 3 so arranging Co-Op or TvTs with them is easier as we are all on the same platform (but don't quote me on that).

We tested ACRE2 a number of months ago, and it was found to be unstable.

The other issue with ACRE is it doesn't seem to be very player friendly... By that I mean it's Realistic - SUPER realistic and loss of signal in an Op due to the shadow of a hill is cool 'n all.. BUT I think detracts from play a little.

If there was a slightly dumbed down model version and or we could avoid the signal issues through config, I'd say go for it.. Happy to test one night if someone cleverer than me wants to try and understand the setup

Aircraft/vehicle intercom.

Pilots always in touch, crew always in touch. Pilot-crew chat requires PTT and/or toggle to talk as in real life aircraft.
Armour etc, crew PTT/Toggle TT.
Requires pilot/crewman helmet for intercom to work.

Great idea on the intercom Robbie.... much needed I imagine
