No wasn't RG rounds I don't even think it was maufatured in the UK. Could have been GW stamped maybe? that seems to ring a bell.

I was actually enquiring as to whether RG stood for Radway Green as I grew up right by there. Used to hear it poppin off at the firing range every morning whilst I was at school.

Still is the norm but for a while there it was green. I was surprised as well but the router was that all ammo produced at RG was being sent to afghan and we were importing it for training.
