Thanks chaps for the applause, but I'd like to step back a moment and mention the situation, because NullJaeger made a good point on Caspian's video comments:

I wouldn't of flown in there, this isn't a compliment btw. I wouldn't of flown in because it was hot, very hot and the amount of rounds forced him to drop the crate on the roof, on top of some players.

Great save, bad idea.

This was luck rather than skill - the crate was 4 or 5 metres beyond where I wanted it, because I didn't actually intend to drop it then - I cut the ropes when I realised I was under fire from a Shilka rather than taking "some light fire" as I'd been told to expect. It was sheer bloody luck that it a) landed within the friendly compound, b) didn't crush anyone, and c) didn't get followed down by my flaming wreck. So I'm happy with it being included in videos etc, but please be careful about making it out to be some s**t-hot ace flying ;P

Modest Nick, but I think a memory has been created that you can't stop from turning into a legend.
And we'll all be expecting similar feats as routine in the future. Don't disappoint  ;-)

The Wheel of Time turns, and Servers come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Server that gave it birth comes again.
On one Server, called the Public Server by some, a Server yet to come, and a Server long past, a chopper flew in from the east bearing supplies. The supplies were not the beginning, there are neither Beginnings nor Endings to the turning of The Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.”

I know you cant hear my side of comms but im 99.9% sure i said to drop to the South of the compound. There was clearly a miss communication on my part and agree that i should have thrown smoke or marked an LZ but i guess im still learning the roll of FAC (excuse incoming ;) ) I think it was my 2nd time as FAC

Stuff was pretty hectic mate, I didn't get specific confirmation either so I'm also a part in the result :)

Some highlights from the last few weeks, featuring some more of Nicks impressive flying skills and my not so impressive EOD.

Disclaimer: I took a bit or artistic license with the music and it may not be to everyone's taste, but enjoy...

Not my taste in music, but a really nicely put together video nonetheless.
Watching it makes me want to get straight onto the public server again. Good one <Dave.

"excessive"  lol

Got my hands on a copy of cubase, so might start writing instead of borrowing power metal tracks lol
