"that stupid ***** jackal piece of s**t" xD

The islands look great. I'm somewhat disappointed that there's only one big and continuous jungle area (i.e. only one big area where you can really get a platoon+ lost in ) but that's just nitpicking. Tanoa seems to be much closer to older maps in terms of flexibility and the amount of possible scenarios. After the large-but-repetetive Stratis/Altis I'm really looking forward to playing on this.

Agree on the extent of the jungle... E.g. Compared to Nziwasogo - However this is mitigated somewhat if you WALK. Which given the close and dangerous nature of crashing around the jungle will have to be SOP

Adagio for strings, an xm16e1 and throw me in the jungle. I'll be as happy as the proverbial pig...

Yeah, the jungle is just so much more...jungle-y...than anything I've ever seen in Arma. The frames seem to be ok-ish as well, especially when compared to maps like N'Ziwasogo which have much lower density yet somehow higher fps impact. The only reason I would have wanted more uninterrupted jungle is because the interruptions/clearings/valleys make it too easy to navigate. If you want to have a 1.5h "stumbling through jungle with no idea where we are" mission you're going to have to put it into that one large jungle area and even then you'd probably need to be clever with your enemy placements to keep people 'inside' the jungle.

Nice find.

Cool to see some older/current weapons used (AKM and AK in particular).

Also the 'thermal-masking camouflage' should be interesting.

In that case I'll change my previous comment to Long tall sally, a mini gun and getting hunted in the jungle... :-D

RHIB Boat -The rigid-hulled inflatable boat, (RHIB) is a light-weight but high-performance and high-capacity boat constructed with a solid, shaped hull and flexible tubes at the gunwale. The boat can fit 7 passengers and a driver. RHIB can be used for multiple tasks. It can be a simple transport boat with some countries deploying them for coast guarding. This is in contrast to criminals on Tanoa who uses RHIBs as a fast and small smuggling boat.

Let's hope they do one in military colours.  Otherwise it sounds ideal as they hold a section. :)
