OPERATION/ TRAINING IDEAS, QUESTIONS .....

1. Saturday is Going out night for most people... so we just never got good attendance. Same for Friday. Sunday is one of those more relaxed nights when 99% of people are home and able to chill infront of the PC for a few hours.

1a. Good idea on the mini ops - we want to do them - we USED to do them but attendance fell off. Remember there is a HUGE (much bigger than you imagine - like Hours!) of work to prep and organise a big op - there are tools, like Zeus or MCC to make it easier but someone still needs to get off their "proverbial" and get on with it... More to the point - I've been well impressed with the Public server - it seems to be really well populated and superbly run by you lot without any need for ADMIN assistance most of the time. Having said all that there is an identified need to brush up on some of our drills - SO I believe Major Goodson is working up a plan for some fun mid-week challenges.

2. You must be some-sort of Athlete. My eyes and BUM are killing me after 2.5 hours !

3. Ever tried to herd cats ?

Just picking up on the last few points - not sure where you're from or what your background is, but just read your post over to yourself quietly and try and understand why you're probably going to get some negative feedback.

From my perspective this is not a production line - people donate their time to run training and build ops and both take a LOT of it trust me. You've been here 3 months, a lot of the regulars have been here a lot longer...

I will take your point about Signing up lists for Training.. Get where you're coming from there - but not sure what system we could viably use to make it work.

You could just PM Trampz, or another Training instructor and ask them to automatically add you to the first available slot... I'm sure if you explained your case they would help - just an idea

1. why doesn't your mum do roasts on a Saturday? This would be a far better day for all of us. I'd prefer you to eat at 6.30pm, no later........

2. why doesn't she give you smaller portions so you could finish faster? Finishing faster ......is the best thing to do.

3. if you're going to have roast beef there must be MUSTARD available at the table. No exceptions. If you're not going to have mustard THEN STOP EATING.


Oh wait, you mean I shouldn't just walk into your house as a guest and demand immediate changes at the top of my voice?
I'd probably get the door slammed in my face.

(this would be one of those negative responses SJ warned you of, not so much the content as the manner of asking)

My advice would be get yourself into the unit first before you start criticising it...  ok.

Gonna make a rare call and close this one as I genuinely don't think it's going anywhere for the moment.
