Airsoft/ Paintball fun day?

So, I was watching LastStandGamers on YouTube (http://youtu.be/iHJfjDc2hy4) and saw that he played a lot of airsoft. It got me thinking how cool it would be theoretically if 3CB all met up and had an airsoft or paintball day and see if our virtual skills transfer into a real environment!

Now obviously it'd be pretty damn difficult to get many on board or even be in the same country, but I can imagine how hilarious and fun it could be. A pipe dream perhaps, but you never know!

Whatre your thoughts on this guys? Has anyone had any airsoft experience before?

Actualy I'm one of the operators on local airsoft organization (in Finland of course). I have been in this hobby for 5 years.
Image This is how I roll on the playfield

It's excellent hobby for body and mind and we have even a full family that plays regulalry ( Dad, mom and 2 young boys) and bunch of dad & son pairs. Our playerbase is half "juniors" and the other half is adults.

Im not shure how's the organization in UK but my protip is for those who want to try out this fantastic hobby: Find your nearest playfield, contact  the organization and ask if they have gear for rent. This is how our organization introduce our hobby for new potential players.
Remember: This hobby requires a lot of physical condition and healthy attetude. How much you want to give effects the others who play with you. Playing lazy and just for yoursef and prioritizing for scoring hits is most toxic way to go. So in reverse; Play for the game, put yourself in unique situations, don't be afraid to put yourself donw and dirty into the mud and you will feel the thrill of this hobby!

Good shout RDogg, didn't know other groups do this! The summertime would be perfect for it! I'll do a bit of research on it and see if it's at all possible :D

Do people still do LAN events? I used to love them late 90s/early 00s

They do, but I think the "need" for them has declined as internet speeds have improved radically.  Back in the late 90's, as I'm sure you can remember, the internet was a terrible place populated by 56K modems.  The scale up to even 10Mbit local networks was so huge that LANing was an obvious improvement.  Thesedays, the vast majority have broadband, or fibre if they're lucky, so the scale up to 100Mbit or even 1000Mbit networks feels much less significant.

iSeries run LANs a few times each year (3? 4?).  It's been a few years, but I've attended a handful.  Thesedays, though, it feels like such an arse to lug my kit cross country for much the same gaming experience as at home just to have my sleep interrupted by the kiddies who've discovered alcohol for the first time...

Private LANS are pretty uncommon here. However there are some things like tournaments and leauges for more professional gaming going on here.

My mate snapped a perfect picture. It's just a moment before I released an ambush on 2 opponents.

The most annoyng thing about ARMA franchise isin't the bugs; The the worst thing is: You don't have better option.

Thought I'd take S4ms advice and give it a new coat of paint...
