Instant Life Jacket Using Trousers

Make room in your brain for this.

Using a technique taught to members of the military and lifeguards, this man demonstrated how in a pinch, a pair of trousers could be used as a makeshift life jacket by tying the legs together, putting the pants around your neck, then pushing air into the legs.

Got taught this at high school some 17 years ago. It does actually work.

Yea, this one somehow slipped by me over the years. Evidently it's quite an old method. 

That's probably because there's no circumstance where you should be doing it. If you are at sea you should have a life jacket as part of the kit, no exceptions.

For some reason it was part of the Physical Education syllabus.
