Rmac if you're thinking of upgrading I would spend as much money as you can on a new CPU. An i5 would be more than enough to get good results for ArmA2 & ArmA3 ;)

Also, you have A2: Reinforcements? Isn't that a standalone expansion? You must have at least Arma 2: Combined Operations (A2 + A2: Operation Arrowhead).

Any will do. Depends what you will use them for and for how long.

You can get yourself some half decent cheap headset for like £20. Moderate sound quality and comfort.

One time when I was going to a lan I didn't have my headphones for some reason so I bought an older ver of them. Pretty half decent for the price. Cost me £19 and saturday deliv. Lifesaver.

But I've had my Sennheiser HD595's for many years now and never looked back. Sound quality and comfort are the most important for me. Can't beat Sennheiser. I wouldn't sacrifice sound quality by buying a headset.

I also use an antlion modmic which is a great way to have a nice mic attached to a nice pair of headphones.

I'm a big fan of Sennheiser, I always use them when listening to music and I've never heard anything better. But when I'm playing games or talking on TS I just want a quick all-in-one solution that I can grab that still retains decent audio quality and has a mic that is crystal clear. I bought a pair of Corsair 1500s just over a year ago and I've never looked back. Audio quality is brilliant, even for music and movies the raw sound takes me aback. The mic's quality I've been told is very clear on TS (even with the codec quality), I've even used it for voiceovers (and believe me, with a bit of tweaking, the result is something you'd expect from a studio condenser mic). In terms of comfort, its like having two cushions on your head. Lastly, they look beautiful hanging next to my computer :D

If you don't have the most expensive sound card don't worry, the headset uses its own built-in soundcard hence the reason why it's USB.

I bought these when they were about £80/90. Now you can pick them up for about £40 - check Amazon ;)

Just my 2 cents.
