New person alert!

Good day everyone.

I am relatively new to Arma (bought in January) and I am loving it, but far more so when I was able to add some proper (i.e. British) gear to the game. I am very impressed with all you have done and reading this forum and watching some of your youtube excursions I am keen to join. 

That being said, I have never ventured into a full MP server, mostly just playing some private persistent coop stuff with friends (antistasi is a current favourite). I have downloaded ARMA Sync to get ready for your public server, but I would rather not jump in blind as it is quite a daunting prospect. Have you got any tips or suggestions for a newbie?

Best advice would be to jump in blind and give it a good go .

We'll look after you, don't worry. All of us were new to mp at some point and remember the learning curve.

Welcome! Grab a member and ask questions, follow them around like a dog-on-a-string, and generally try to get underfoot as much as possible! Best way to learn

Just to add to all the welcomes. It's a very forgiving environment and we don't encourage the toxic nonsense that can be associated with MP games. If you don't love it I'll eat my beret !

Thank you guys. I was all set for the public server last Sunday night, did all the updates and mods required, and was really looking forward to it. However, since I had hours to wait, before hand thought I would play some antistasi with some friends. Well next thing I know it was 00:55 :shock: Whoops! Guess i'll be joining you all next weekend!

Note: our public server is offline on Sundays from 7pm until roughly 10.30pm while 3CB play our official big Op which is members only.

Ahh cool. I wasn't sure if they were set days but I see on the schedule public is up Wednesday this week. I hope to join you then.
