Introduction

Hi.

The public server runs pretty much 24/7. The only time its down is when we have to do maintenance and during our private operations which are Wednesday and Sunday at 7:30pm BST. The mod repository is that big, because it is containing all potential mods that we are using on different missions. :)

There is no war to end all wars.

hi, good to see you last night. I'm relatively new to 3CB and ARMA. The guys here are generally ;) great: From the members to the regular non-members, you will get to know them all. As you saw last night, with your radios and medical stuff, always willing to lend a hand.

My head is on a swivel, I just left the WD-40 at home.

Yeah cheers for the help with ACE and TFAR. Slowly starting to get the hang of it all. Was good playing with you guys hope to see you on the server again. Been on again today and so far everyone I've met have been as friendly as you guys so looking foward to getting to know everyone.

Yeah sorry it took me so long to talk you through ACE Medical that you bled to death :P

Haha glad you've got it working, generally at the moment (and somebody can correct me if I'm wrong);

For velocity & puncture wounds use packing bandages

For most other stuff (such as Avulsions) use elastic bandages

Then give yourself a morphine (gets rid of pain but slows the heart rate) and then an epinephrine (raises the heart rate again)

Nice to see you on the public server yesterday, hope you enjoyed yourself any questions just ask.

Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.

My level of sarcasm depends on your level of stupidity.

Cheers bud. Yeah this server is ace, only played a couple of the missions but there fantastic. Hoping with more play time I can become a solid member of this unit. Everyone I've met so far has been awesome. I do have a question though, is the kestrel broke at the moment? I tried messing around with it on the fools gold mission at the range but was saying there was no wind. Its my first time using ACE so I could just be doing it wrong.

if youre surounded by other objects (like walls, trees, etc.) you wont get an accurate (if any) measurement because these objects are blocking the wind...
try it again in an open field :)

additionally to the kestrell you can use shift + k (at any time) to display an arrow that indicates the direction and wind speed in the top left corner.

If you're lying down you'll suffer with poor readings too...

It's quite realistic.

Worth bearing in mind VERY few missions require use of Kestrel. We just don't engage enemies using Snipers - that's a bit Gamey for us.

We prefer Team-work at a Section or Fireteam level, it's ultimately far more rewarding at close range working in a tight tactical formation and supporting each other, than it is "Shooting ducks off the top of a hill in a Gillie" ;-)
