Invitation for TvT Event from ArmAWorld

I recieved a pm from a member of ArmAWorld.de about a TvT Event. ArmAWorld is a german community page/forum for ArmA 3. In my book they are the most active german community page for ArmA. It is also worth mentioning that the initial contact with Gruppe Adler was made over that page too. There is not much information yet about the event and they basically just asked me if we would be generally interested.

The only information I have is:
- They want to bring together multiple clans and aim for a large scale event.
- They will most like use a very basic modpackage (ACE3, TFAR, RHS).
- They will create and host the mission.

There is no sheduled dat yet for this. So the general question they have right now is if we are interested at all.

Any idea if the intended event is a TvT or Coop? Either way, I'm always keen :)

Edit: Just saw the title of your post  lol... disregard.

Well I dont think we are actually bad at TvT. We just seem to kind of suck when it comes to the organization of us at the start of a match. When things are rolling I dont think we are bad or behind most other clans. It is just we pretty much suck at planning and getting things running. :)

Alright, I got some more info but it all sounds a bit weird (to me personally).

They call this event Coopetition 02: Briefing OP ARDAKAN CLAW it has been shedules for the 19.12.15 which is a saturday.

There are three factions which are CSAT, FIA and NATO. The key of the mission will be a nuke planted by CSAT on the major airfield on Altis.

- CSAT have to hold the airfield for a set time, retreat and set the nuke off.
- FIA obviously dont want to become Altis a nuclear wasteland and want to safely take that nuke out.
- NATO wants to keep prevent CSAT from retreating from Altis (which also mean they could set up the nuke before CSAT is retreating).

They aim for a maximum of 80 players. I have been contacted by the guy organizing this and if we take part, we would only be allowed to bring 9 people max. The mission itself could eventually last for about 4 hours. 4 Hours is the sheduled maximum time CSAT would have to defend the airfield. However I doubt that both of the other factions would take that long to succeed or just die.

So we have a three faction TvT where there is a good chance that FIA and NATO will at least for some time work together and maybe double cross each other in the end (or maybe not).

The main questions are:

Would we like to take part in this?
If so who would like to go there since we can only bring 9 people

As far as I understood it, this is the maximum ammount of players all the clans are allowed to bring. 9 Players is also the size of the sections that are used.

To be fair, I have no real previous experience with those guys and I have no idea if their estimated 80 players from different clans and freelancers is realistic or they have very high ambitions.

Well, always keen to attend a TvT. Just a shame we're limited to only 9 players. Though I kinda agree with you - seems a little ambitious.

I agree with Whip, if we treat this as just a PR/networking opportunity, then it sounds like a great opportunity especially for those that really like TvT.  Provided we keep our "game faces" on.

It's a shame its limited to 9 but we're not having to organise it.

I suggest in the advert it's clear its limited to 9, with a preference for people that really like TvT.  Keep signup period short, say 2 days.  If you have more than 9 people signed up, then just select 8 at random + Mefirst.

Well the "good thing" about it only allowing us to 9 people is that we dont have to organize a lot stuff.

The main question is still if we actually would like to take part in it or not. I personally would have no problems if we say "no thank you" or we just get 9 people together and join it. If we join it however, we would need to give them a confirmation more or less as soon as possible.
