Gaming Rig - Thoughts?

Quiet is best mode. Even then they still suck as default fans.

Still gives you 15 fps in ArmA :P  (I'm jealous anyway)

Well on the op it was pulling 25-30. But on the public I got 95-99 in base and 120 if I look into the sky.

It's nippy now I've got it configured right.

Just pulled a top-ten score on Firemark extreme... It's not showing up for some reason in the HOF.... but anyway here it is

Dear Santa.....

If you don't mind - what did your system cost you? And what other components are you using? I think you're the first non-gaming-industry-person I know/have heard of that actually runs an i7-5960X/2x980 setup ..

Not going to talk cost... as it was too much, bear in mind I build big rigs, but once every 5 years or so - and that's it. So spread that cost out and it's really not that bad. (well imho anyway :-) )


Jamie that's a great score... I bet you're still running vanilla - over clock it a little and you'll significantly improve. Your board has safe auto OC features so you don't even need to do it yourself.

Cable management with the NZXT H440 is superb - everything is hidden behind the backplate. The case is built like a Ferrari (weighs a tonne) and looks amazing. Not had any issues with airflow.
