Can't get on public server tonight.


Hi there.

So I've been on your server the last 2 or 3 nights. Before tonight I decided to move my mods to a separate drive. Told PWS the new location, but it didn't move them so I moved them manually and restarted PWS. It detected them all ok, Diagnosed the repo, all checked out and launched with all mods working.

But whenever I join your server I get the "you were kicked" message without any more information.

Any ideas why? Could someone check the server logs to see if there was a reason? (last connection attempt about 11:40pm UK time)

OK, checked the log and found the problem, but still can't fix it.

Error in log file:

There has been a couple of CBA updates this last 3 days on Play With Six. Looks like either the latest is broken, or you have only just turned on key checking?

I tried installing a different version of CBA from the 3para Arma3Sync repo, but same result.

So I know the problem, but still can't get on!

Time for bed I think....

CBA was updated late yesterday. I don't think the server has been updated yet. If you are running the latest version and the server is not, that is probably why you can't connect. The server probably needs the update applied.

Sorry, at work at the moment and Jamie is at Uni - and does actually appear to be working (!) and Apollo has multiple family members who are needing his 100% attention at the moment... so Admin has not been as present or active as normal.

I'll have a chat with Jamie about perhaps widening the net slightly to get better coverage.

I think Lifetap may have full access ? So it might be worth poking him on TS if you see him before I can get home

Hi Zach,

Apologies that you had trouble connnecting last night. It was indeed the @cba_a3 update that was the problem.
Our server has now been updated and is running the latest version, so you should be able to join in the fun today.

Thanks guys. it's an odd one, as usually a "CBA mismatch' is a common sight as people join a public server, and it copes ok. But not this time I guess they resigned the keys due to a big change and I was the only fool to update via PWS!


At least it gave me time to work out how to run a stable and development branch on my PC at the same time without a 2Gb download each time you swap in steam, so I can play with the 3D editor and play online.

The second last update had some issues inside it. At least that is one of the guys who worked on it told me. That could have also caused some issues that are fixed now with the latest patch.
