Changing Profile Name

As the title suggests, how do you do it? I know I can create a new profile with the name changed, but apparently there is a way it can be done by playing with the folder directories or something?

From the ArmA main menu:

CONFIGURE
> PROFILE
> EDIT
change player name
APPLY

A word of warning. If you play king of the hill, editing your profile will lose your progress.

In that case create a new profile. I have a separate profile for 3CB.

If you want to create a new Profile and keep your Settings you have to copy some files in your "My Doxuments/Data" Directory.

Example:
Original (and only Profile in Arma) is PlayerName
and your new PlayerName should be Rct. PlayerName

1. Create a new Profile with the Name Rct. PlayerName
2. Quit Arma
3. Goto to your "My Documents" Directory
4. Open "Arma 3" Directory
5. Mark "PlayerName.Arma3Profile" & "PlayerName.vars.Arma3Profile"
6. Rightclick Copy
7. Goto "Arma 3 (Other Profiles)\Rct%2e%20PlayerName" (in My Documents)
8. Delete the existing Files of this Directory
9. Paste your original Profile Files in this Directory
10. Rename them to "Rct%2e%20PlayerName.Arma3Profile" & "Rct%2e%20PlayerName.vars.Arma3Profile"
11. ...
12. Profit

%2e is the . and %20 ist the blank.. (URL encoded)

If you already have multiple profiles, your "original" Profile can be in "Arma 3 (Other Profiles)" too!
(oh since 3den  there is a third file called "ProfileName.3den.Arma3Profile" ... but i guess you got how it works...)
and dont forget to switch your profile back to the original if you want to play ArmaKoth

Is your old profile not still in your arma3-other profiles folder Asterisk?

No, I ballsed it up and deleted it i think.

Will check later when on the PC.
