Watched Dunkirk two days ago and it is an alright movie. While it is certainly a good movie I think it is a bit too long and if feels stretched at times. However the first 20 minutes of the movie are pretty brilliant. I usually don't like Hans Zimmer Soundtracks but in this regard the first 20 minutes were quite good.

First one was great fun to watch, fingers crossed this'll be too. Del Toro is brilliant.

With respect to (anti-)war movies, definitely Wolfgang Petersen’s infinitely quotable ‘Das Boot’...

For everything else, the even more quotable ‘The Life of Brian’...

I am relatively disappointed that they make a second Sicario Film. The first movie was alright but I don't think there is a need for a second movie. The story was pretty much told and the trailer looks like it will be a straight action movie.

I watched The Mechanism (O Mecanismo). Its pretty alright. It's from the same director who did Narcos. It's dancing around real world corruption in Brazil, but it obviously takes some artistic liberties. The sad (and good) thing about it, is that the core of the story is sadly true. Apart from that, it has some interesting characters, played by good actors.

The English translation is sadly not that great, but it is passable. I also think they could have made it 2-3 episodes longer. That would have given more time for better character development/showlight.

The trailer is a bit misleading, since it is a relatively "calm" series.

sicario 1 was better as 2, less action more tense thrilling moments. went to much hollywood, the scene in the first movie in the private plane, shaking hands when he slept. awesome. ending of 2 made it clear there could be a third part. its a bit hard to get the background of him.

if u got hands on part 1 in 4k, u can see dust particles, awesome. only negative thing i can say about movie 1 is that dubstep noise.

other goods films
black mass
departed
don camillo (5 movies translated)

ghost in the shell (anime movie)
operation kingdom
vantage point (2008)
