Broken ArmA

Seems that the steam update has broken my Arma by deleting the damn exe files. Now have to download the whole 18gb again. [emoji34][emoji34][emoji34]

On another note I am planning on getting my ace3 n00b friend on board soon. Hopefully I can get some help from you guys on teaching him the ropes. I have asked him to create a fresh profile with the default keybinds so that it is easy to say what key does what. He is nuts at rebinding to odd keys.

Hi B. Have you tried just doing a steam file validate ? That should check you have the right files and auto update any you are missing ?

 just done what you suggested after pausing the update and it said I am missing 423 files. What the hell has this update done? lol

Really want my friend to get into ACE3 and enjoy your server as I kept telling him how much it changes the game. Playing as a actual team really makes to game more fun than just going in guns a blazing.

What is this unsung mod? Must be good to be 12Gb in size.

The Unsung mod is only to be used in private operations as it stands, so there is no need to download it.

To download just the public modset, under the repositories tab, navigate to the events box, and then you can click on a modset to connect to and download the relevant mods. Click here to view a video of this.

just to avoid furhter problems,
are you storing your mods in your arma 3 folder?

if so, make sure that you never ever tick "exact match" in arma3sync while updateing mods.
this would delete everything in the folder thats not on the repo (including the arma installation).
