Had a pretty good fly around the map last night. It's cool !

The FPS does need looking at in Cities etc, basically because he's used loads of bespoke custom buildings which need some optimisation I think. (check out the Aussie Pub... Brilliant)

However the VAST, VAST majority of the map is empty desert / scrub ("Bush" I think is the Vernacular) i.e. pretty easy for FPS to run.

I can't see us doing anything with this in the short term - he's released it for Bug testing etc and it needs quite a bit of polish etc..

I'm looking forward to giving this a go once my internet is back -- how does the engine handle the large map size? Any weird issues with map view/AI pathfinding/etc?

Some Pathfinding issues in Cities...

The map size itself seems manageable - hard to tell on my rig what is normal or not TBH

I was getting 60+ FPS out of town and around 27 lowest in town with no AI... So he's got some work to do on streamlining it I think
