Fools Gold Play Wednesday 22nd
Hi Guys
After the Mini Op last night a few of us jumped on the Public Server and went out into the unknown to find some gold. To put it bluntly we got creamed a few times mainly by accurate and deadly RPG rockets including a couple of occasions where the whole team was wiped out - foolishly huddling too close together!!!!!! (Pryce you are right - for once!!). Undaunted we RTB and rearmed, retooled and ventured forth more determined and this time with a bit more caution and stealth. Ended up in a rolling firefight between an FOB, a couple of small towns and a few hill tops, which ran continuously for about 2 and a half hours with little pause. It was hectic and real fun!!! and this time we survived thanks to reinforcements and the recovery of a Ridgeback we lost earlier. It ended at three am when we were under pressure form two sides with enemies closing in whilst we were treating casualties next to a ridgeback, which you guessed it suddenly and mysteriously exploded killing all but two of us( I thought they were safe from RPGs!!!!) . Reluctantly we closed down our machines and retired to bed to rejuvenate.
We did not find any gold but I must admit the consistent and constant counter attacks by infantry BRDM's and "bloody" snipers made for a real entertaining evening.
