JSRS4 - ARMA 3 Sound


The other day i was thinking about why we were using DynaSound, as it its probably the worst sound mod for ArmA 3. 
then i remembered that JSRS was a thing, so i decides to ask a couple of people on TS who all agreed that JSRS is better then Dynasound. 
JSRS also has support for RHS so that's already a plus from Dyna.

JSRS Soundmod  size around 1000MB

JSRS is by far much better,
It's closer representation to what actually weapons and vehicles sounds like blows DynaSound out the water. It was also around on Arma 2 I believe and was known for being hands-down the best sound mod around.

I works amazingly with RHS and other mods like CUP + other mods too. 

I'd like to see the switch over, higher quality mod with much more compatibility, seems like no brainer.

Dynasound is written by the same person who produces the RHS and 3CB weapon sources, and thus provides 100% compatibility with our existing sounds.

JSRS on the other hand has been tried in the past, and proved both unreliable in MP and also a greater performance hit.

Plus there is a much greater difference to people who do not use the mod. Meaning that with JSRS you will hear things way earlier than others. This can create actual problems in operations or the public server.

Dynasound is a voluntary mod from my understanding anyway on the public server. 

So is it a compatibility issue why we won't use it?

Could we not just trial it on the Dev server for a time to see what problems may occur, after that test period make a decision based on the issues with our modsets both those on the public and private ops? From the sources I've seen on the BI forum it has support for RHS.

Or why not an optional modest in which there are optional mods like dynasound and jsrs.
Something we done back in my previous unit so you could choose to play with mods that don't effect server wide gameplay but allows for an individual user to have what he/she prefer to make their time more enjoyable. 

Jsrs was stated to have worst performance but is that for the server, individuals, or both.
Also how bad? And is there source on that.

As Lifetap has said, JSRS has been tried before and its performance (in a technical and practical aspect) were not up to our standard, that combined with the framework used for 3CB weapons etc means that it is not very well suited for inclusion in our modset, 

If JSRS has had substantial or relevant updates, which may address these issues, there is a possibility it may be re-tested to look at its suitability for inclusion.

it does sound far better when you are being engaged from the enemy and it would be nice if it was optional as is dynasound 2
