Humvees in Arma 3
I like the thinking Howl more choice is always better I think.....
(absolutely Hate the Humvee mind... :down:but that's a different tale.)
Your idea to use it from A2 as an import isn't possible currently as we would have to run the entire server as an AiA server which has it's own complications.
Equally I think there are restrictions from BI regarding actual porting of assets into A3. Some people seem to be getting permission (the M110 has been ported this weekend) but I'm not sure how they go about this.
There are no ports of the Humvee yet to my knowledge, but there are several sources working on A3 versions. i.e. new models
TBH i'm more in favour of waiting for the more modern kit to become available, Hound dog, Mastiff etc. They are much more effective platforms and indeed more in keeping with a scenario 20 years in the future. Being British kit they also match our Royal Marine / Uk forces portfolio.
Humvee is a relic of the 80's really and an out-dated design given today's IED threat. I imagine it will soldier on for the next 30 odd years, but more likely as a specialist platform, or rear echelon unit.
Anyone else seen any sources where we could get this added ?
