MegaSound - Another (new) sound mod

New sound mod on the horizon. This test shows of the bullet impact sounds (based off of the vanilla sounds, but with added punch).


This guy knows what he's talking about when it comes to sound design/dynamics. Here's a video where he explains the sound limiter in Arma 3:

The second video Jamie posted was pretty interesting. Must be annoying to makes sounds for arma 3 then.

Not sure how much is left to add into the game, but most of the new weapon sounds were already added in 1.40 (current stable branch). Pickup an MX (or any vanilla weapon) next time you're on and listen to it ;)

The biggest yet-to-be-rolled-out change to sound is the whole "environment" thing. With 1.42 (that's the DLC), gun shots will have different "tails" (end-of-sound-things) depending on urban vs field vs forest vs indoors.
