This is actually pretty cool. Really useful for conserving frames (for the majority of the time) while still not being at a disadvantage.

It does seem to work really well !

This added to "Fullscreen" window mode has meant I can push all my settings that little bit further. I'd definitely support this for a server suitable mod.

Only issue is that I think on the server the MAX OvD is set in the config, so it would likely have no effect ? Major Goodson ?

Almost certainly, but the server restricts OvD - as it can cause slow downs sharing object positions and "Arma Stuff".

So I cannot think that this will show dynamic objects like Ai or vehicles even if it DOES somehow allow Rocks, trees etc 

needs testing I guess :-)

Client-side VD would still be limited by server-side VD setting - but at least with this mod we can set our regular VD below the max setting (I usually have mine on 1600), and then pump it up to the max (set by the server) when we zoom in.

But as Serjames said - needs testing to confirm ;)
