Feedback: DynaSound Public Server Testing

The video could have done with more actual in-game sounds and less DUBSTEP noise.

Wasn't Goodson waiting for this mod to be completed and released? I think this was the one he was suggesting we used.

Someone load it up in SP, go fire a bunch of weapons, play a couple of showcase missions maybe, then post the full RPT file here (via hastebin.com).

It doesn't look too bad. Some missing files on helicopters and gattling gun with potential for problems.

Did you notice any FPS issues?

Could you re-run adding DynaSound with the full public modset and the current public server mission (from your missions cache)? Go out into a town, spawn some of the @alive bad guys, have a fire fight.
Hint: Use Ares (or the debug console) to make yourself invulnerable.

Dynasound has been added as an optional extra to the public server repo for testing.

Initial testing has shown no log errors or obvious performance problems on the public server, so we now need a larger player base to try it out.

Give your feedback here.

There was a lot going on at this point, and this is the only error I saw after 40 mins or so.

I would also just like to add that this pretty much sums Dynasound  up for me atm:

Going to be brutally honest here, the incoming gunfire in this sounds lackluster as all hell. Pretty disappointing after how long people yapped about it but in terms of infantry combat i'm struggling to see any real improvement. Incoming shells and HE sounds better especially with proper delay implemented on the sound reaching you but other than that this really was not worth downloading imo. JSRS and ACE_SM both did better 4 years ago.
Keep in mind that in A2 most people played with a modset that had 'unified' sounds. I'd assume that DynaSound on the public is going to sound quite a bit different to DynaSound in vanilla because on the public you've got people shooting with modded weapons and getting shot at with modded weapons so DynaSound doesn't really get a chance to show it's full power (no idea if that 'full power' is any good, haven't downloaded the mod yet)

Agree with Benzy regards to incoming small arms fire. Not enough crack, zip and fizzle. Anyone who has ever been shot at will tell you it is a pretty big thing.

You're left under no illusion that a round has passed, even low velocity pistol calibre. If it passes within a few feet you feel the round/sonic boom.

He does have his own Sonic Crack mod which I think is standalone and currently optional. Not sure if it will be rolled into this. Might be worth us checking it out as well if Dynasound gets the go ahead.
