GPU Advice

So like a pilgrim from an unholy land, I will be returning to nvidia from the desolate wastes of AMD...



and I have my heart set on a gtx 970.



But which do I go for? Does more money always equal better performance? Budget wise I'm aiming for £260 - £280.



Recommendations?

Good deal? Is the extra vram any use for 1080p?

should be mine in a couple of weeks then. Then all I need is to move to a house with a 21st century internet connection, which will be later in the year, and I'll have a pretty beasty set-up

My advice is that ANY 970 will do you fine. You pay more for "industry" overclocked samples.. Which to be fair, most Vanilla Models will achieve anyway.

For ARMA especially you will see no benefit either way - unless you're Klawc and play at 4k - that's the only time you'll tax your GPU.

Go with the best value one you can ! (Value could be free games, quieter etc)

Thanks for the help guys. It comes with the phantom pain free. Which I would buy anyway, plus I'll need an upgrade at some stage for star citizen
