getting the best from a 1080ti

I have been fortunate enough to win a GTX1080ti through a work incentive (we had to choose our potential prize at the beginning) and by crikey its a beast.
I could really use some advice on getting Arma to make the most of it, I knew there wouldn't be huge gains in FPS (4 to be precise) over my old 970, but im hoping I can now ramp up the quality some more, but im not exactly tech savvy so any settings advice you guys can offer would be very well received.

My monitor is a ROGswift 2560x1440 running at 144mhz
CPU is i7 4790k
16GB Ram

Check out DownScaling,
for Arma i would say stick to the ingame scaling options (called Rendering Resolution),
for all other games you can use NVidia DSR .

It will "emulate" a monitor with a higher resolution as you have, and than downscale the resulting picture to your resolution.
This can have some pretty amazing effect, especially you can workaround antialiasing with that to get some more fps (in some cases).

In arma render at 200% is equivalent to 4k downscale. I have got 1080's on one of my rigs

Nice, set the scaling to 150%, tweaked up the view distance settings to 2500/2500, whacked everything else to ultra, getting 50fps on the altis benchmark thing, which is about the same as it was with the 970 but crappo gfx settings.
