TFAR sound bug

Hi guys,

Any help on this one would appreciated:




Getting that weird static/robotic sound on people speaking up close, so what should just be chatting to someone, in person.
You'll notice radio comms are fine, as are people speaking when I'm right next to them...

Updated to the latest plug in tonight, and I closed TS and re-installed it mid op to see if it would make a difference. Any ideas?

Anyone got any ideas on this? Haven't had chance to jump online and do any tests since Wednesday, so if anyone knows what could have caused it that would be very helpful!

I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the plug-in, as the first step. 

Then jump onto a server and see if it is repeatable.  

actually i dont have any clue what can cause it, sounds like a low bitrate or a stream with slow internet connection

some thoughts:
if reinstall doesnt help check your teamspeak options playback, and try diffrent playback modes (its on aut for me) and make sure youhave "Always set clients 3d positions when available" UNticked.
there some new options for tfar in the arma options (addon options) regarding local comms, try to set it back to default or fiddle around with it,
i dont think its related to audio drivers but a reinstall of them wont hurt either...

Having the same problem. People who are right next to me, i.e 2 metres, are fine but further away than that is distorted. I have uninstalled and re-installed tfar and have set all the in game tfar settings to default

Me too as of tonight on the Patrol Op's.

Exactly like Cud and Price. Direct comms when right next to me are ok, but move away any distance at all and it gets distorted/choppy. Painfully unplayable.
FPS was showing 35-40 but there were noticeable regular 'lag spikes' where the game seemed to freeze completely for a fraction of a second quite regularly.

Reinstalled TFAR.
Reinstalled plugins.
Rebooted PC.

Connected to the Public Server. Same problem.

I haven't changed anything on my settings (drivers/TS etc) since 2 days ago when it was working fine...except for installing the latest TFAR plugin.
Sound in other games and on normal TS is absolutely fine, so I'm guessing it's a bug with the latest TFAR plugin.

Looks like I'm out until it's resolved.

Just to add to my last, I could hear everyone on the server speaking (with heavy distortion) as if they were right next to me.
Radio comms were relatively clean but hard to hear anything over the collective noise

Can't test it because bikey's. Get kicked off the public server.
Will try again with just the updated plugin retained.

I couldn't hear 1-0 over the vehicle radio, so I'd only get half a conversation.
Lots of popping and static.

who want's to listen to 1-0 anyway, eh boys?
