CUP Interiors


Anyone looked into this mod yet?

Might be worth playing around with to see how good it is, apparently there is some issues with the ground clipping through the floor in some cases but if that's not too often it might be a good addition to the repo.

I don't know anything about this area so sorry if this is a stupid question but they say it "patches the CUP buildings at the config level". Does that mean we will still need rpt logs and all the standard mod addition checks?

Seeing as I suggested it I guess that falls upon me, how would I go about testing it for buildings? I can see tutorials for maps and uniforms/weapons/vehicles.

Would I just load a CUP map and see what that produces?

At a guess, I'd say load a few of the maps map, find a settlement, and go through each building trying all of the actions like opening doors, windows, etc. Basically, just try and "use" as much of the mod as possible.

I assume I need to do it with our private repo? If so how would I go about getting a workshop mod to work with that?

1. Launch game with the map only (+ any required dependencies).
2. In-game: Main Menu > Editor > (select map) > place down single player unit > Preview.
3. Let the mission load, run around for a bit. Minimise game.
4. Locate your latest RPT file: C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Arma 3\
5. Open it in Notepad, copy & paste the full RPT into this page: HasteBin.
6. Click Save (top right) > copy & paste the URL from your address bar into this thread.
Done.

I'd be all for this as it will improve some of the existing maps for essentially no cost. I did a similar thing last week by replacing buildings on Vinesvagen (sp) for the op using the hide object modules which obviously has a perf cost.
